Tortuga Alada is the fortuitous encounter between Argentine cellist Violeta García and Colombian saxophonist and clarinetist María A. "Mange" Valencia. Different paths, projects and geographical locations allowed the two artists to meet in Bogotá, Colombia in 2017. The result of this meeting is "Cuadernos de Viaje #1", a sincere dialogue between the two performers that contains original pieces and improvisations composed for and by the duo.

Recorded and printed in Bogotá, Tortuga Alada - Cuadernos de Viaje #1 is part of the catalogue of the Colombian label "Discos Chichigua". Dichi 002 - 2018. The album was released in Roseti Club, Buenos Aires, Argentina in September 2018.
